do boots of striding and springing work if you are flying? for example a 10th lvl elemental savant (air) has a movement of fly 100 (perfect) if he's wearing boots of striding and springing does he fly 200?
i can understand the argument of no he's not actually touching the ground with his boots but there is no requirement that the enchantment be in boot form what about a cape of striding and springing?
