This is getting silly (my collection)

I'm probably beating you on RPG stuff, but while i have several good ones, I can't touch you in boardgames at all.

And like P-cat, may have to do some photography...

Merric,
While, I could never come close to the amount of board games, your rpg collection make me grateful that I traded, sold, or gave away various games over the years. At, the same time, it makes me very sorry to have done so (with some items).

SHOW OFF TIME!

The RPG books that remain are spread between 3 sets of shelves, 3 boxes, and god only knows how many different stacks around the game room. I tried to pack up pretty much everything that I hadn't opened in the last decade.

Either way, I'm pretty sure you've got me beat on books, BUT...

I think I might have more board games. Not pictured: a milk crate in the car, two shelves in my son's room, the top of a closet, and the dregs spread about on the game table.

Time to do what I've done -- buy more shelving!

And space to put the shelving. This is also a huge issue.

You might also want to see if you have games or books you no longer care for. You could sell/give them to friends and family; donate them to a local library, school, or charity; or sell them to used bookstores, on eBay, or to Noble Knight.

The real problem is that I'm a big pack-rat when it comes to games (and books). Even with the ones I don't care for that much, there's always the possibility that I'll need to reference it for something or other.

That possibility isn't so unlikely, given my participation on threads here and BGG discussing the history and design of games.

Even after thinning out my collection around a recent move, I've got two or so 6-ft. bookcases full of RPGs, one 50-gallon plastic trunk of board games, and four similar plastic crates full of related minis and toys. And that doesn't include the bookcase worth of binders with 30 years of worlds, characters, and session notes or the hundreds of files on my hard drives! (Unfortunately for me, I also collect swords, action figures, and comic books, but I'm fairly organized.) Good luck with storage, and happy gaming....

I'm currently moving some of my excess collection into our tower - pictures will follow!

Cheers!

I'll take more photos when I get home, but I've left out photos of most of my boardgame collection - it's currently about 350 titles plus about that many expansions and takes up a LOT of space.

Cheers!
