I saw HOT FUZZ this weekend and thought it was very enjoyable, one of the few comedies I have laughted out loud at, I was not the only one.

The biggest movie was only 13 mil, though? Just waiting for the Hollywood bean-counting guys to start crying "Doom! DOOM!" again any minute.

I don't think is will happen thsi year, while the weekend was down 18 percent from the same frame last year you have a number of big movies this year in Spiderman, Pirates, Harry and the 300, all that look to making this a very strong year.

What is your most anticipated movie of the summer?
30.4% Spider-Man 3
20.8% Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
9.7% Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
8.8% Transformers
6.5% The Simpsons
5.3% The Bourne Ultimatum
4.2% Live Free or Die Hard
2.2% Shrek the Third
1.8% Knocked Up
1.8% Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
1.4% Other
1.1% Rush Hour 3
1.1% Ratatouille
1.0% Ocean's Thirteen
1.0% Hostel 2
0.9% Hairspray
0.8% Stardust
0.7% Evan Almighty
0.4% I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
0.2% Nancy Drew
0.0% Surf's Up

Damn, Grindhouse dropped off the top ten already...what a pity.

Even more shocking, based on some reports it was off the top ten LAST week! It's at number 14 right now. 300 is still beating it. And I don't mean in total dollars, I mean 300 is still beating it currently at the box office.

I feel like many of their movies these will become cult classics. Mainstream movie goers are not into these types of movies. Heck they were B movies in the 70's, during their hayday, should we really have expected it to be a blockbuster today? :\

They also cost $20,000 to make then :)

I agree, they will probably become cult hits. I still hope to see it in the theater.
