Time to keep track of the movies I see this year but think I will do it a different way...anything I go to that I feel is a waste of time is a 5 or below, 6 not a complete waste, 7 a good two+ hours spent, an 8 a good two hours I will tell my friends about, 9 something I will consider seeing again, 10 will see again.

Neither. People were burned from the crap that was M:I:2, and are skeptical of #3.

Rightfully so, I might add.

Liked him in Last Samurai, War of the Worlds, Vanilla Sky, Minority Report and other stuff but pass on MI movies.
 


M:I3 was not bad by any stretch. It certainly could've been much worse. It was an entertaining action flick, and I wouldn't take it for anything more.

I never watched the original show, but I always thought IMF were supposed to be subtle. There's really nothing subtle about this movie. Within the first 25 minutes they blow up an abandoned warehouse, a truck, and a helicopter. So yeah... I expected a subtler movie, but I still liked it well enough.

So I take it this movie is more like the 2nd one [action v. suspense or however you want to clasify the first] than the 1st? That's a pity.
