National Tresure does well and I Am Legend retains the number two spot! Would have thought it would slip a bit more. Sweeny, well it is a musical and only 1000 screens.

And why the hell did National Treasure 2 debut at number 1, while Sweeney Todd debut only at 5? Sacrilege I say! :\

National Treasure: Disney's Indiana Jones

Sweeney Todd: a British barber that slits people's throats. Also, he sings.

I think the former is a little more accessible myself (though I really do need to see Sweeney).

Sweeny Todd is a musical, it also opened on only 1200 screens, 2500 less than National Treasure. NT is a D&D movie, while Sweeny is a Warhammer one.

Sweeney Todd is a good movie but it's definately the odd man out as it's a strange bird of a movie.

National Treasure's first weekend made nearly as much as Golden Compass at three weeks! Conspiracy pulp adventure seems the way to go!
