Hand of Evil

Hero
Epic
Holiday weekend for the US and it looks like Jason was the big winner, which is an early give away that the Watchmen should do well. Taken takes a strong 3rd.

Why do you equate Watchmen and Jason?

Shopaholic has been heavily advertised, so that might be shaping up as a bit of a disappointment. The International has really tanked, also, especially considering the lead casting.

It is more attenance, slasher movies seem to have a given take and viewership, even remakes. As this was an R rated movie that limited the viewership. The numbers show people that wanted to see this movie, did. How that equates to Watchmen is that their seem to be a lot of people wanting to see this movie, it does not look like they will hold back.

So movies like this either sustain or tank hard in week two?

These days it is a limited run, the greater opening weekend take the longer it takes to get to the pull number but these days, 10 weeks is life on the big screen.

30% to 40% of the "domestic take" comes from opening weekend.

That's easier said if Hollywood producers actually cared about talent and original thought. Consoidering alot of the exceretment on youtube these days, I won't be surprised if someone tried to make "Cat Flushing A Toilet: The Motion Picture. Sad thing is it probably would be better then half the movies that are produced.

ROFL!! I had to choke back coffee to avoid spewing it all over keyboard, desk and monitor! Classic.

Reminds me of the cat fiasco in Meet The Parents.
