Thoughts on Cartoon Network?

I love Dexter and Samurai Jack. Most of their other shows are really good too though. Cartoon Network is a godsend, I love it!!! I wish we had an all-anime network though. CN has it's fair share though

They are changing up to prepare for the coming of Dragonball GT. Plus as for the IXGP thing, there will be a series, but it was more to promote a game I believe. So have to wait and see.

Arg, I know! Unfortunately I just don't see me getting one anytime soon.

I liked that son of yours by the way.
Heh, he's very interested in seeing Star Wars. And by that, I mean the original trilogy, of course. I want to my kids to see the original series FIRST, and then the second series.

As for the Tivo...It's a somewhat pricey investment at first, but it's really worth it. It really does change your viewing habits, and I could scarce live without it, now. Case in point: Last night, I taped the new Jimmy Neutron tv movie, turned on the DVD player and watched an episode of Jeremiah starting at 8:25, and then at about 9:11 turned the TV back on, rewound to the beginning of Angel, and watched it 'almost live', skipping through the commercials to catch up to the live broadcast...so that by 10PM, we had finished watching Angel with the rest of the eastern time zone, just without watching most of the commercials. Sweet.

True story: I got my Tivo on a Sunday, and got it hooked up and working with a little help from their phone support. My friend Scorch mentions to me, "Hey, Inuyasha loops around to the first episode tomorrow night...better set up a program to watch it." I agree, but I'm tired, and we get distracted. Monday comes and goes, and I completely forget about the ol' dog-demon. Tuesday morning, I wake up, get dressed, prepare to head to work, and curse as I realize I forgot to set up a program for Inuyasha. I turn on the Tivo, just to check if the nightly call worked...and see that it taped Inuyasha for me, on the chance I might like it. I haven't missed an episode since, and I no longer have to bother constantly checking schedules to figure out when new episodes are on, or if the time moved a show to another day or time (such as Buffy conflicting with the NBA, for example).

Tivo rocks. And now they make them with DVD-RAM burners in 'em. :)

Not about Cartoon Network, but if you have Brighthouse you can rent a PVR box from them for $15 a month(that's $7 more then the digital box). I don't think it's got the all the great advanced features of a Tivo(the intelligence), but it works for a cheap pinch.

My favorites:
Inu Yasha
Blue Gender
Sealab 2021
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Rurouni Kenshin (at least until the Saturday move...)

Why don't I live somewhere that has actual content on TV?

I'll have to be content with Digimon, I guess. Curse you, staid New Zealand viewing demographics! Curse youuu! Why is Holmes paid so much? Nobody watches him! Aargh! Conspiracy!

(Then again, Digimon (season 3) would kick the rear end of nearly anything anyone else has mentioned. Honourable mention to Samurai Jack - which can make 20 minutes of silence awesome - and Cowboy Bebop - which is good on DVD; I like the English voice actors more, after comparison with the Japanese. Strange days we live in.)

Yes but they aren't AS! ....uhm what ever that has to do with this thread I don't know any more. *grumbles* Stupid Toonzone.net...

Do you just go to the store buy the system and go home and set it up or is there more to it, e.g. a subscription of some sort?

True story:

This type of thing definitely requires more than the system itself does it not?
