The first Black Company Book came out in 1984...with sporadic follow-ups interspersed with Cook's other efforts. It has been around for a while, but is one of my all time favorite series. I have probably read the Black Company at least a dozen times (maybe more like 20). I like the first three books the best...the mid-part of the series is a bit shaky...and a couple of the books at the end return to their earlier strength. I hear another tome or two are in the works, but I will believe it when I see 'em on the street.
