Thoughts/Wishes for the DI/VTT

Hello all.

I'm a long time lurker driven into the harsh light of day by 4e. I also DM an online 3.5 game using KloogeWerks. I was very resistant to playing over the net, but things eventually got to the point where it was that or stop playing altogether.

So let me tell you about my last session:

The players were investigating a doomsday cult and had infiltrated its inner sanctum. They found themselves in a large pentagonal room supported by vaulted columns, and with a small round altar in the center. The whole place had been rigged to explode. There were kegs of smokepowder lashed to each column, and long fuses had been stretched to each keg from the central altar. A torch-wielding cultist, mad-eyed with unholy zeal, stood nearby clutching a torch.

Initiative was rolled, the torch felll, and sizzling sparks began creeping along the fuses. The party found themselves (1) desperately battling the bloodthirsty cultists, and (2) desperately trying to 'defuse' the smokepowder before it blew the whole complex to kingdom come.

I'm not satisfied with Klooge, and I'm excited that WOTC is getting into the VTT business, but I need to be able to create scenarios like the one described above before I can be sold on the WOTC VTT. In particular, I want to be free to create irregularly shaped rooms: hexagons, pentagons, circles, etc. I want to be able to add dungeon dressing: kegs of smokepowder, fire pits, tables and cots. I want some kind of counter or token to represent things like the sputtering flame, moving closer and closer to the powderkeg.

If anyone has heard, how likely am I to be satisfied with what WOTC is offering? If any WOTC designers are around, when can you comment on the functions you're going to offer with the VTT? The previews I've seen are pretty, but they don't show the flexibility that I'm looking for.
