Threshold Canceled?

1 down, 2 to go...

For the love of God, don't say such evil things ;) Or at least don't include Invasion in that.

I never watched Threshold. Recorded it on DVR, but haven't watched it yet. I guess I can free up that space now :p I just never got into it specifically because of the Friday timeslot. We are addicted to Stargate and Battlestar Galactica.

Personally, I hope they pick up Invasion for at least another season. It's one of the shows that the wife and I watch every week no matter what (along with Lost and Alias). Just please, no more "procedural" shows. Nothing with lawyers, cops, investigators, doctors, etc. We have enough of those.

Oh, and no more sitcoms. We just don't watch much comedy. We weren't even big fans of Friends :heh:

That sucks!

Its only recently started on Sky One over here and haas been enjoyable so far, knowing it won't get finished just blows..big time.

I'd like to see both return next season, I just have my doubts. I think Sci-fi shows are held to a higher standard because of the added cost of production, and neither show is really setting things on fire. While I gave up on Threshold and Surface early on, I still watch Invasion.

What was Threshold's storyline/concept? I honestly have no clue.

Saw the first episode of Surface, and have since ignored it.

I see maybe 20 min of Invasion every 3 episodes or so and don't feel like I've missed anything since my last viewing.

Quite honestly, for teevee, I'm down to Lost and Battlestar Galactica at this point.

My Sci Fi Watch.
Stargate Sg-1
Stargate Altantis
Battlestar Galactica

Invasion
Surface
Smallville

Non Sci Fi
Alias
Commander in Chief
24 (next year)

Not watched
Night Stalker
Threshold
Medium
Supernatural
Ghost Whispers

For a long time, I haven't watch TV through a weekly basis, it was either Monday, Wednesday and then Friday.

Now, after like 5 years...has gone back to a weekly bse show watching from Monday to Friday. Most of it, is SCI FI stuff. Before that, it mostly a lot of drama shows...which I have shy away from now. Got tired I guess, taste changed.

There was a plot (Really)!

An alien race seeks to invade Earth, but instead of sending aliens in ships, they send a signal, which overwrites the DNA with their information, causing "infectees" to become them, and seek to infect the rest of Humanity... "Threshold" is the plan developed by a "Worst-Case Scenario" Planner to handle Extraterrestrial contacts, so it is implemented, and a team of specialists (Biologist, the W-CS Planner, a Mathemetician/Linguist, and Techie/Guru), who try to figure out what the "infectees" are up to, and how to stop them.

Of course, most of the Threshold team were, themselves, partially exposed to the alien signal in the premiere episode, so they, too, dream about "the forest of glass", etc. Can they save Earth from the hyper-spatial message-senders?

(Apparently not!) :(

That was my thought. Sometime in the week after the last episode we saw recorded of the events in "alien-infected alternate reality", one of those remaining crewman finally hit the right idea that saw the signal being transmitted across the world.

Homo Neomutantalieno thereafter promptly severed the AR-TV access point to "alien-infected alternate reality" deliberately, or the multiverse automatically altered its frequency of that reality to position it in a more proper relationship (presumably "further away") to its current reality as compared to ours.

What - you thought TV stations employed actors, directors, etc? Of course not - the big money is spent to keep open the quantum singularities to the nether regions between the various 'verses to record events they bill as "entertainment" to us mindless masses.

Oops - the big man in his white uniform says it's time to put my comfy jacket back on so he can tie the arms back and walk me back to my cushy-walled room. :)
