Again, I think I like D&D goblins better as foes. GURPS goblins, a la Yrth, OTOH, those I'd probably take over tieflings; or WoW's goblins.

Plus, I do like what I know of the 4e tieflings' backstory.

I HATE the 4e tiefling's look, and i'm not fond of the fluff either, but unlike dragonborn, with a little tweaking they make a decent player race. better than goblin.

Goblins are always fun. Great stealthy or mounted charcters in D&D. In other systems, anything invloving goblins and explosives is a draw for me.

As PC's, goblins are sort of also-rans. They're sneaky. So's a halfling. So's a gnome. So's a million and one other races.

4e's tieflings look idiotic, and their fluff was better as Planescape's "castoffs and foundlings" then as 4e's "Conan Fanfic."

But that legacy was awesome, and it's enough for me to vote them into the next round, at least.

Goblins, like kobolds, have been gradually rehabbed into a PC race. THEY ARE MONSTERS. They deserve death.

Tieflings, I personally am not a huge fan of, but whatever, I've wasted my vote on bladelings enough.
