On the request of a fellow enthusiast, I'm creating a thread for Tips on posting images to ENWorld Threads.
I am only a rudimentary web/thread guy, so please contribute by adding your own tips and ideas.
Some things to consider when posting:
1. Morrus has kindly created an ART GALLERY as part of ENWorld. Use it if you can't host your own pages on the Web.*
2. Avoid uploading any files to a Thread, unless you must. They take up a ton of space and are bandwidth hogs.
3. Put your images on a Web Page.**
4. Link to your images via your web page. (There is a nice little button on the toolbar when creating a Post to do this)
5. Save even more bandwidth by linking using Thumbnails. Thumbnails require you to have both your full image and the Thumbnail hosted on your web page.
* There is a Sticky Thread on the Art Gallery for reference.
** There are some free web page services around. I'll defer to others on who is good and who isn't. I manage a private page so I'm a little luckier than some.
Please offer your suggestions and tips for those who would like to show off their cool artwork, maps, photos of miniatures, photos of gaming tables, etc.
