Do you like this style? Or should I make something close to what Mongoose has? Any suggestions?

You need to change the color of the "hit" links or the left hand side bar. I cannot read who is posting if I have looked at their profile because the "hit" links and the side bar are the same color.

Better than before though!

Blue might end up too . . . blue -- dark is easier on the eyes too.

Neutral colors seem to work best -- keep in mind that lighter colors read closer so the background colors should be darker while the foreground objects should have a lighter color.

Good work Craig . . .

Yeah, my "followed links" are currently a shade of gray inbetween the dark and light gray colors.

How about a red/white/blue motiff?

The red seems alittle busy to me.

What about dark blues for the background w/ white headings and light grey text. Dark blue is easiest on the eyes (scientific fact ;) ), the white is a stark contrast to get your attention  , and light grey text will be easily readable but simular enough to look good :D .

Just a thought, that is the scheme I use for power point presentations.

I'm still chugging away, but I need to get ready for a movie. This isn't the final look. In fact, I'm sure it will be changing here and there in the future.

The blue is way too bright. :)
