Well, if you really want mine you can have it on the conidition that you accept a job as my head of alisanders information agency. You wouldn't have to stay in alisander to do this just brief me on whats going on about once a month (if you want you can send one of your people to do it in your place).

I may be able to make some more bolts like those just not as powerful, if you would agree to paint a couple of portraits for me.

On the other matter, before Zografos agrees he would like to know the extent of information gathering you want him to do. Is he only to pick up info inside Alisander, all of Lamapacher, the entire world, across the planes? Each one will cost cost progressively more and the last will be quite difficult since Zografos doesn't know how to get to other planes.

Is he in charge of sending out diplomats to other nations? If not, he will need to send information gatherers with the diplomats.

You know to do a proper job Zografos will need to cultivate more of those allies that the Ingaran group loves so well.

Zografos has recently acquires some resources that would help him keep and eye out for magic users in Alisander if you wish for him to do that as well.

I didn't think you would have the time to concern yourself w/ the day to day activities of the diplomatic corps considering your other "interests." But if you feel you need certain people appointed to diplomatic positions I can give you a certain level of authority concerning diplomatic issues.

I imagine you are not going to stop anytime soon, even if I didn't use your skills. At least this way I know what is going on in the city. And along those lines . . .

Spread the word among your "allies" that as long as they obey the laws of the city I will do my best to treat them as any other person in of Alisander. But they need to keep a low profile in return, as beyond putting it down w/ force of arms I can't control mobs that their overt presence would create. (And notice I said, "As long as they obey the laws")

I want you to maintain and expand the trade routes you have created in an official capacity. While, I will impose a reasonable tariff on the goods brought into the city by those routes, exports will be untaxed. I know as one of the few traders in the city that deal with that particular area you might find this special tariff unfair, so as an incentive and in return for maintaining the routes (and your other duties) you shall receive a percentage of the tariff collected as salary. However, if illegal goods entering the city though these routes becomes a major problem I will shut them down.

Finally before you leave, find out why there are mind flayers still in the city and if necessary remove them!
