I can't find the original - I know for a fact I erased it. However, I wrote up a new undead path for 2.0 for Reiella. I will see if I can find that and forward it to you.

Yes I did and it looks very interesting indeed, any chance that Yb will have more paths again or not? I might have a few suggestions for powers to fill up the last few tiers as well if you want them.

I thought the last few tiers were filled up, but you can always give suggestions :D

As for whether other paths come into the game I dont really care much myself. I actually had made the undead path though with the idea in mind of having a special event with undead, not really as a permanent path, but if enough want another path, petition, vote, etc., then we will probably go with the will of the majority.

:) That's good to hear :)

Well, about the idea I had, I noticed that Liches and Archliches didn't get as many powers as the other tier, and I had 2 (well, really 1) interesting power from the sorceror class I came up with a while back.

Perhaps add Knoweldge to the Lich Tier, and Forbidden Knowledge (Or Greater Knowledge or Supreme Knowledge, whatever) to the Archlich tier.

Knowledge: During the insult round (or during your first move), generate 1 extra move. At any time during the match, you may use this move once in place of generating a move (if standard) or picking one from your hand (if strategy).

Forbidden Knowledge: As Knowledge, but 2 extra moves.

This is sortof a mini-mastery type thing, it can be used to gen one of your styles or locations but it is also useful for having a move that has just the right defense vs. your opponents.

Also, perhaps drop Can't Run or maybe just limit it to Tier 3 or Tier 4. And for Energy Drain, can it be used once per round or as much as you want per round?

Hmm, those knowledge powers would work without being too overbearing. The top tiers have less powers in the suggested undead path but thats because the energy drain, combined with the dead healthy and the presence of poison claws makes the path pretty strong as is.

energy drain would be usable once per round and can't run should only apply to the first tier.

I know I am brand-spanking new at this game so I cannot comment so much as to how well balanced it is, but it seems to me that having more options might be nice. Undead Garden Gnome? Archlich Meowth? eh, who knows. Not trying to hijack your thread, just wanted to sign the petition or vote for more paths. Back to your insults and cheesy fight moves.

<edit>Yeah, you guessed it, I screwed up and had to fix something. Again. Shut up.</edit>

Back in the day, 7 months ago now, when the rules committee was hammering out concepts, it was put to a vote and determined that there would be only 5 paths. Thus the new rules only had the five paths. If there is enough of a consensus to add paths then we can do that. Each path needs to be balanced with the others and well reasoned. Plus we do not need paths that can be self-tailored by a player using a pre-existing path.

I really have nothing against other paths but I can see an inherint danger once we start down that path. Namely where does one stop and how complicated does the game become?
