ToB vs Core Classes

What i mean is, what is the diference between the fighter and the warblade like characters roles? Can the fighter be considered the TANKER and the Warblade the "damage-man" ?
The Fighter isn't constrained to one role. It's actually a very flexible class -- which is why two-to-four levels of Fighter appear in many builds. Including Warblade builds. ;)

A Fighter could be a tower-shield tank, or a lightly armored finesse TWF dude, or an archer, or a spiked chain trip monkey.

Warblade, on the other hand, is slightly less flexible. He's a fine Barbarian replacement ("Striker" role, to use the new terminology). He's not much of a controller -- that's what the Crusader is for (same role as Knight). He's not much of a "commando" -- that's what the Swordsage is for (same role as Ranger or Rogue).

Does this answer your question?

They're all defenders, actually, if you want to use the 4e terms. :p But let's avoid that argument and not use those terms...

Wow, really?

Okay, I'll stop using those terms. Clearly I don't know what they mean.

Thanks, -- N
