Today's Woot Description

I thought people would get a kick out of today's Woot item description.

Here's a snippet:

Man, role playing sure isn’t like it used to be.

There was a time when, if I wanted to play some sort of robot-dragon hybrid, I’d have to go to Star Frontiers. Or Spelljammer. Or maybe GURPS or some crazy White Wolf system. And now? Why, RoboSmaug is right there in Dungeons and Dragons, making the game into something… well, just WRONG! I tell you, back in my day, we couldn’t write cheating like that into our origin. We had to cheat the old fashioned way: by lying about stats and trying to sneak one +3 weapon past the DM. And you know what? We were HAPPY! Those kitchen tables held some of the GREATEST events in HUMAN HISTORY! You picked ONE class and you PLAYED THAT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

It's worth a bit of a chuckle. And no, I don't work for Woot or any of its subsidiaries. Or its parent, Amazon, either.

Now, I'm going to go roll my new RoboSmaug Barbarian Sorcerer.
