Same idea that i ask for the dungeon crafting. Let share everything about tokens to miniatures that we can use in our games as players or monsters.

From how you make miniatures (tokens) to simply advicing where we can buy cheaply.

I need your advices.

I will add what ever i can find here.

For making tokens:

I use Powerpoint (the Openoffice version should work as well, but I'm not as familiar with that) and Fiery Dragon's Counter Collection Digital plus assorted pictures found on the web (notably on MtG cards and in WOTC's art galleries). I use the images from CCD (and other places) as picture fills in appropriately sized squares in Powerpoint. Sometimes, I add a bit of text, either the creature's name or a number.

I just wish FDP would release CC Digital for 4e sometime soon. I know they have a product out for level 1-10, but it's a PDF rather than a collection of image files.

I couldn't do without RP Tools' Token Tool. It's free, light, and very cool. You just drag any image file into the window, slide it around to frame the token like you want it, and export it as a ready-to-go token image. After I started using it for my forum-based games, it became indispensable. You can even choose from a bunch of borders for the token edges, and even make them circular, square, or hexagonal.

Take your token from Token Tool into photoshop, and duplicate it.
The duplicate, tint it red, maybe add a blood drop.
There you have an automatic bloody status effect for that token.
Bloddy? Flip the token?
Make sure they are 1", and print them out and apply to a 1" metal washer.
Very cool at the table.
