Tome of Magic: Poison bite (maybe Mouseferatu can help)

Egres

First Post
One of the Chupoclops supernatural abilties is called poison bite, but the bite attack it grants isn't poisonous at all. (and that wouldn't be out of flavor, since Chupoclops is a huge phase spider)

Was that a miss that needs an Errata?

Thanks in advance.

I can't speak much to anything in the binder chapter. I wrote the rough drafts of Tenebrous and the Tenebrous apostate PrC, but otherwise that chapter was Matt's.

I can say that several of the vestiges seem to have abilities that don't quite match the flavor description. I imagine this probably happened during development, and that the actual ability descriptions--not the flavor text--should be taken as accurate.

I see.

Thanks.:)

Quick correction, just to give credit where it's due. Rob wrote the various locations and adventure material in that chapter (and indeed, all the chapters), so it wasn't entirely accurate to say it was "all Matt."

Just to be clear. :)

I must admit that I was wondering who wrote what. I was assuming it was one guy per chapter, rather than subtopic based. Interesting to know.

Well, it was one guy per chapter for the most part. In an overall design sense, pact magic is Matt's, shadow magic is mine, and true name magic is Dave's. Rob did the sample locations and adventures for all three.

The fact that I did a PrC and a binder was, I think, purely due to word count issues. It's possible that Matt and Dave also did a little bit of cross-pollination that way, but I couldn't say for sure.
