Top museum rejects statue, displays plinth!

I had an art class in college. For the midterm project, my prof HATED my work. He then looked at it, tilted it on its side, and placed the stand whichg was a clay cake dish on top of it. He said an artist ALWAYS looks at apiece from every angle.

I hated the guy and thought he was an idiot and a jerk. Then I found out that contemporary artists think that way- and they have no qualms criticizing other people.

The way I was raised was to respect other people's property. Even if I think somethign could be done better- I have to repsect that the other person has a brain and his piece is still his own.

Art is art, but this is ridiculous- I heard about That story and it was hilarious.

Oh- Oh- another anecdote:
A grad student was displaying his pieces. One piece was braced by a couple pieces of wood for protection in transport. Two 12 ft beams were nailed together with a couple crossbeams and was leaned against the wall while the REAL art piece was being set up. A spectator walked in and poked around and knocked over the pieces of wood and the guy sued the school for letting the guy into the showroom before his pieces were set up. He got $50,000 for the four pieces of wood nailed together, claiming that it was ONE of his showpieces and was irrepairably damaged after the fall.

Too funny-
