Total time to create items

With the item creation feats the requirement for time to create the different items (like scrolls, etc) is listed as a day for every 1,000 gp in its base price. So does that mean that it take the same amount of time for a 1 level mage to scribe a 1st level scroll as it does a 5 level mage to scribe a 5 level scroll? Both of them cost less than 1000 gp.

By the rules, the answer is simply 'Yes'. One day is the minimum amount of time taken to make any magic item. Consider a caster level 1 scroll of a cantrip or orison. It may only have a market value of 12gp 5sp, but it will still take 1 days' work to produce.

Some DMs don't like that feel, and consider a scroll of multiple spells to be a single item for the purposes of how long it takes to create. But that is firmly in the realms of a House Rule, and does markedly increase the value of Scribe Scroll.

Some people believe you can put multiple spells on a single scroll, and as long as the total value is under 1000gp, you can scribe that scroll in a day. Other people believe that a scroll may only hold one spell, and even if you only scribe a cantrip on your scroll, it takes you all day.

I say pick a preference and stick with it.

Short answer: Yes.

I recommend the house rule that you can do several items per day if the accumulated value doesn't exceed 1000 gp, as long as you expend the spell slots for every spell needed in the creation.
