D&D General Totally Tubular 80s themed source book and adventures for 5E on KS.

I lived in that decade, and I am surprised because then a lot of things were the lastest and newest one, or the coolest but now it is vintage or old-fashioned. Really we only remember the best parts, and we forget a lot of no-so-good things.

I don't reject no-fantasy settings but we lack enough experience for games with firearms and modern technology, even decades after d20 Modern to be published. Some menaces are really dangerous for PCs created to be "survivors" but only walking targets and bags of XPs for action-heroes with the right gears. It is like a survival horror where the first boss is a true nightmare, but several stages later you can kill dozens thanks the earned weapons.

In other ways if Magic: the Gathering has got New Cappena and Kamigawa: Neon Dinasty maybe we could see in the future something style 80's like Miami Vice.

If you don't remember who was this guy you haven't really a childhood...

It seems from looking at preview stuff (and I could be wrong) it's still medieval (or whatever it is now) style fantasy, Guns may be capped at flintlock. It's like Faerun but with malls. Though it says most of this is just flavored stuff and can be inserted into your current game. Like the magic items and classes etc.

This all feels like it'd fit into a higher end standard D&D fantasy world. I can easily see it slotting into Spelljammer, Planescape or Radiant Citadel, for instance. (Individual adventures would be set on various worlds reached through the appropriate means, of course.)
