does anyone know if strength adjustments are figured in when calculating a spellcaster's touch attack for a spell?

thanks hong! offhand, do you happen to recall where the rule is written? oh, and does this mean you've finished tweaking your monk?

There's no explicit ruling on this in the books, but it comes under the general rule for melee attacks. A melee touch attack is still a melee attack, and melee attacks use your Str mod. The Sage also clarifies this in the FAQ.

And I'll never finish tweaking my monk. It's a vocation for life.

Yep, the only difference between a touch attack and a regular attack is, that you ignore armor bonuses to AC.

Anyways, I think it would make more sense to use Dex instead of Str to figure tohit for touch attacks, but that's just me and would be a house rule!
