I thought one of the GSL provisions was that you couldn't make alternate classes?

You can make new classes. You just can't alter the way character generation occurs.

I didn't say "new classes". I said "alternate classes" as in "if you don't want to use the WotC Druid, here's our Druid". I'm fairly certain you can't do that...

WotC hasn't put out a druid yet, so we aren't altering anything. I can't say for certain what will be once they do put those classes out, but as of now, we're not altering any class that exists currently.

Anyway, though, they both look like awesome products. I love anything with a name like Teputzitoloc.

EDIT: After reading the product page at the GG website, I see that the OP did mention the ranger accidentally instead of the barbarian. The website says barbarian (and even has a picture of one!)

I think it has more to do with the clause against redefining terms, which includes the (non-existent) classes in question. There's nothing to define the term yet, so it's all good now. Once those come out... well, cross that bridge then.

Indeed. There is no ranger in the book. There are the barbarian, monk, druid, and bard.

That's what I meant. APG is giving them new names, so they're not being redefined, and they won't have to worry about it later.
