my apologies....:confused: I think the dog costs more because it is more useful. I mean you could have your dog go fetch right,I doubt you could make your cow go fetch though...or stand gaurd for that matter.
 

A pig is a direct means of production. Its value is its potential income, and nothing more.

A dog is a production multiplier. It makes you a better hunter/shepherd/whatever. That's why it's more expensive.

Actually, I was watching a program about the repopulation of wolves in the range areas, and the farmers were pissed about loosing cattle, the loss of each one cost them in excess of $1500, depending on the weight of the cattle.
