I can't really think of any. Which are you planning to use as your "core" system?

While both systems have their own classes, Trailblazer makes a lot more rules changes, some of which you have to hunt for in the book (for example, I cleaned up a lot of the rules and wording on grappling, including monster special abilities related to grapple). You'll have to decide which Combat Maneuver system you'll be using, turn undead, etc.

The only other thing I can think of are NPCs using Pathfinder classes, but I don't really see that as an issue. Our philosophy with Trailblazer is that it's ok for the bad guys to follow their own rules. We intended it to be drag-and-drop into whatever module you want.

It may take a little time to get used to the power level though when going from TB<>PF. I'd say PF classes and races are more powerful but TB characters get Action Points and Combat Reactions.

All that said, I'm grasping at straws to think of things and probably over-thinking it. I wouldn't hesitate to run any PF module with TB. In fact, I'm extremely intrigued by the new Kingmaker AP.

I'm definitely curious to hear how it goes though! I love the Pathfinder modules.

Thanks for the rapid response! The core system will probably be Trailblazer, but I'm thinking the Combat Maneuver system might have to come from Pathfinder so I can use the Pathfinder critter stats "as is." There might be some Unearthed Arcana in the mix as well -- especially for skills.

I wish I could say for sure this will even come to fruition, but for now it's very much a thought experiment. I have a couple of lapsed players (big 2E fans) who have expressed interest in starting "something" up, and we're targeting "sometime this summer" to play what may turn out to be one session -- even though Kingmaker looks to be right up their alley. But that doesn't stop me pounding away in my scarce spare time at a ruleset they'll be at least comfortable with, if not big fans of. :)

But I very much appreciate your thoughts!

The Pathfinder fighter is IMO a better class than the Trailblazer one as its more maneuverable ,versatile and less of a "weapon master" Armor training is exceptionally nice.

Its also a bit less fiddly.

Otherwise PF is a bit higher in power but should be mostly fine.

I can't comment directly to the question, but I do have this to offer: I've run a few 3.0/3.5 scenarios and one PF module using a mix of PF and 3.5 characters plus including a house ruleset that includes some TB material. Everything has worked fine so far. If I were to insist that all characters comply with a single non-PF ruleset, I can't see how things would end up less fine.
