Well, I got the same reaction from that that I got from the first one. It would be instantly better if it wasn't trying to call itself Sherlock Holmes. It looks fun, but it's not Holmes.

I find myself looking forward to this. I skipped the first one in the theaters, caught it on Blu-ray, and was surprised to find film was made out of pure, unadulterated summer entertainment.

I have no problem with popular characters being interpreted in different, perhaps even contradictory ways, and no specific issue with the banter-y, semi-steampunk, high-action Holmes as portrayed by Robert Downey, Jr. (an actor who can make anything good).
