[Trailer] The Incredible Hulk

The CGI still looked a little iffy to me--actually, it looked worse on the Hulk than on the Abomination, oddly enough--but I'm willing to chock that up to the poor quality of the trailer and the fact that we're still a little ways from release.

I'm looking forward to the movie, overall. :) (And I really didn't much care for the Ang Lee version.)

The previous Hulk movie was an Abomination. I'm so glad Marvel has taken the reins away from Hollywood in regards to their characters. Starting with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, I am expecting to see truly great marvel films, not just the good ones we have seen thus far.

The first two Spiderman movies were truly great.

I might rank the first two X-Men movies that way as well.

I'll grant you the first Spider-Man.

While I enjoyed all three X-Men move to some degree, I would stop well short of calling any of them 'great'. Mostly due to the sweeping changes to canon, but also some nit-picky stuff of my own.

Edit: Cannon, no Canon, No... Grr.

I'll second that.

(of course, I thought the Spiderman 3 was a terrific comic-book film, so you may not want backup from the likes of me...)

I've never liked the Hulk, right down to the very concept, so I'm already pretty sure I won't go see this.

The trailer looked alright, though I agree with the CGI being iffy on the Hulk. I think Ed Norton will do a pretty good job, though I honestly Eric Bana wasn't at fault at all for the first film (which I did see). I'm hoping that this one will be a little more brutal - that was a big problem for me with the first one. The Hulk needs to be an incarnation of destructive force, and I never got that impression from the first one.

Anyway, I hope I didn't threadcrap too much.

TMI, bro. T... M... I... o.0

Is it anymore TMI than if I had said, "Liv Tyler is in that movie and she's hawt!" ;)

I think I prefer Ang Lee's Hulk to either of the X-men or Spider-man movies I've seen. . . Not because I think it was somehow great, but it was pretty to look at, I like the experimentation with form, and I like the scenes fighting the army in the desert, down to the detail of the dudes falling safely out of the tanks as they are smashed. Basically, I wasn't bored watching it.

Eh, I guess I wasn't bored with the first X-men either. . .

Okay, just to make sure I'm following you...

You found the two Spider-Man movies, and X-Men 2, boring--but you didn't find Ang Lee's Hulk boring?

If that is indeed what you're saying, well... I can't even begin to fathom it. But I want to make sure that's actually what you meant.

Ang Lee did a few things right: Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliot, Jennifer Connelly, Jennifer Connelly.

But the "comic book panels", the freeze-framing of that blonde dude's death, Nick Nolte's inexplicable character, gamma poodle, Hulk falling unconscious and remain "hulked out" (what, is he angry at a dream or something?)... the list goes on and on.
