[QUOTE="Starman, post: 1784028, member: 7663"] Bruthin makes a quick swipe at you, but distracted by Davik’s spear, he misses. You run and grab one of the dangling ropes, your momentum carrying you up in the air. Lashing out with your whip, you easily attach it to the other ship [Attack roll= 19+3= 22, AC 5, success]. Knowing that this is the critical part, you clear your mind and focus. Your body continues to swing forward and up from the momentum of swinging on the rope, though you have released it and are now gripping your whip tightly. Coming up body parallel to the ship, you twist in the air and grab a pole sticking out from the deck of the Iron Hammer. As you twist around the pole, you release your whip with a flick of your wrist. With a soft grunt, you hit the deck of the pirate ship and roll to your feet [Tumble roll= 17+11= 28, DC 25, success]. Exhilarated you look around. The ship seems almost empty with most of the crew having boarded the other ship. You see the pilot staring at you, jaw hanging down his chest. At the sound of heavy footsteps behind you, you spin and come face-to-face with a monstrosity. It is nearly seven feet tall and powerfully built. The creature is wood and iron, enchanted somehow to be flexible enough for movement. Carved on its iron chest plate is an upside down hammer overlapped by a skull. Looking up at its humanoid head, you see that the creature is missing its jaw; all that is left is a few strands of some supple material where it would have hinged on its face. Above that, cold green eyes bore into you. This is the warforged captain, Thorn. “So, one of you foolish fleshmen has the courage to face me.” His voice is monotone and hollow. He draws the scimitar from the scabbard at his waist. Softly glowing yellow runes are carved into the blade. [Initiative roll= 20+4= 24] You act before he does. [/QUOTE]
