Traveller or Star Frontiers?

Yep, no contest -- Traveller all the way. Star Frontiers was a short-lived wanna-be, and I haven't yet found a sci-fi RPG that captured the genre as well as Traveller (IMHO). It's a very open-ended game that you can do virtually anything with.

I've never played Star Frontiers, but it was TSR so probably has a bigger fan base, though Travller fans ARE rabid.

FilthyIke, I'd like you to avoid insulting entire groups of fans, even lightheartedly: some folks don't take lighthearted teasing well.
jdrakeh, if you think a post merits attention from a mod, you just need to report it. Telling someone that they're reported is unnecessary, and serves no purpose except to heat up the thread.
FilthyIke, if someone tells you they find a post insulting, you may NOT respond to them with further insults.
jdrakeh, I don't want you telling anyone that they're on your ignore list, but for Ford's sake, if you're going to tell someone that, at least have the decency to put them on your ignore list. When you say you're going to and then don't, we've got the worst of all worlds: we still have to come in and clean up the mess, and you've used the ignore list as an insult.
If you're both good, you can have dessert tomorrow.

A simple Google will tell you much - there are a lot of active Traveller sites out there.
Star Fronteirs? Not so much.
The Auld Grump, overly fond of the ellipsis...
