We have a new project up on Kickstarter.com looking to get project backers for our system-independent Fantasy RPG Campaign Setting The World of Trexlin - as well as our fantasy-based card game (sort of like a fantasy poker - perfect for use in RPG sessions).

Question about Support

Hi -

I checked out the information on Kickstarter - the video (especially the 2nd half) was really interesting. Looks like it will be a detailed setting.

I guess I have two questions:

1) I'm assuming that supporting at the different levels gets you those 'rewards' listed - right? For example if I pledge $15, I get a copy of BOTH the card game - and a PDF copy of the Sourcebook? So - basically, if my understanding is correct, these are what boils down to pre-orders?

2) What happens to my pledge if you don't reach the funding goal?

Thanks. The setting looks really pretty cool - and the card game is great. It is definitely something I can use in my campaigns. My players are always looking for something like that.

Hi -

First, thanks for your interest. In response to your two queries:

1) Yes - at the $15 pledge level - you would get both the Xephyer Card game as well as the World of Trexlin Campaign Sourcebook. Essentially - you are correct in the your pre-order comment. What this tiered approach to pledging does - is to allow us to offer various pro-orders for the material. Depending on your pledge amount, you can basically place pre-orders for copies of the card game, the world source book (PDF and printed versions), Large Campaign Map, other ful-color area maps. Additionally, at the higher pledge levels, you can get some of the original artwork that was used for the card game - or sourcebook.

2) If we don't reach our funding goal - then your pledge is never taken - so you aren't out anything. This way, if you pledge - you know that you will only be charged if the project has complete funding - so you are sure your will get your pre-order.
