Triangle Agency: impressions, and what da hell is it?

Heh, I think I'd change that to..

Classic emphasizes setting
Neotrad emphasizes characters
Story Now emphasizes situation
Trad.... emphasizes whatever the GM wants that week. Haha
To try and keep as much alliteration as possible, I'd say Trad emphasizes "storyline". (I can't think of a good word for characters that starts with "S"! :) )

Obviously, there's tons of nuances, and plenty of games that hybridize types, but that's pretty good for a shorthand.

Just as a side comment (and for all I know this may be mentioned in one of the videos) my reading of the game suggests there's some pretty strong influence from the computer game Control here.

Yes, very intentional.

The author of this game seems pretty cool too, part of the NSR and adjacent club of very modern creators trying different things.

I remain quite curious as to how the "magical university" module/campaign using the base design that the authors have commissioned from an active community member will turn out. He's already said he's working in some additional advice the community has put together on how to better handle some types of prep and game running the core book could maybe use.
