Trouble with RPGnow.com -- SOLVED!

I'm confused. Henry said it worked fine for him. You two have a problem. So the problem is most likely on your side. What browser are you using? Do you have cookies blocked? Are you logged in when you put items in your basket?

Don't blame RPGNow until you've eliminated any potential technical problems on your end.

I block cookies. I use Mozilla on Linux. I tried logging in and *not* logging in.

Then, this afternoon, after doing nothing different, I was able to buy The Diamond Throne.

So, we get a happy ending, AND proof that it was all RPGnow.com's fault.

I have never actually used it but was thinking it would be a good idea, is it not? Why? Many problems? Should be another thread?

I had one problem with an order from RPGNow, turned out that NBOS hadn't processed my order for some reason. It got solved fairly quickly, just took longer than I really wanted to right that minute. (Wanted the new version of Fractal Mapper for a game the next day. They did get the problem handled within 24 hours or so though.)

The Auld Grump, who has otherwise had nothing but good luck with RPGNow.

I just ordered Diamond Throne and got the confirmation email that it went through, but no link. This was six hours ago. I'm still waiting for the download link. So, who do I email about this? I want this book.

You could check your account page and see if a link is there.

Look around carefully on the confirmation e-mail. Sometimes it is in an inconspicuous place.

This happened to me once. I felt like an idiot.

And be sure any spam filter you have didn't eat it! Happened to me once, before I created a folder specifically for emails from RPGnow.
