[Troubleshooting] Shadows of the Last War

I wouldn't make it habit to reward a PC for holding back on his employer. I must assume that, since the schema are the whole point of Elaydren sending the PC's out on adventures to begin with, that the House Cannith want the schema pretty badly. So does the Lord of Blades, though he isn't inclined to be as nice about it. After a while, House Cannith should learn of the gnome's deed, and when they do, they won't be happy either. The PC's have made enough enemies that they don't need their potential future employers as enemies too!

Especially since Lady E. is the party's patron to House Cannith. Not a good idea to piss off the person who represents you within one of the most powerful houses in Sharn, if not Khorvaire.

This is pulp/noir. The PCs are likely to discover their rooms ransacked when they get back from visiting the pub, etc.

Where is the artificer studying it? That gnome in the corner with glasses will notice and be off to inform someone about it...

Betrayal is par for the course in Eberron, but the PCs have to be very, very careful about themselves betraying people.

Incidentally, if that artificer isn't of a Chaotic alignment, he is now!

Cheers!
