True Believer

True Believer is listed in CDiv as a +3 insight bonus in the table, and a +2 insight bonus in the feat text. Has there been any clarification (Errata, FAQ, etc.) that anyone can recall of this issue?

Considering that you can only use it once a day, before you roll, +2 seems way too weak to spend a feat on. There are a lot of feats that give you +2 to a save all of the time. We use +3 in my campaign. Using artifacts is a side benefit that won't come up im most campaigns,so I really don't factor that in.

Yeah, but it's tough to avoid the feat if you want to be a Pious Templar.... it's a prerequisite. Not as bad as Toughness, no?

Yeah, Pious Templar is a good class, but a feat's major goodness shouldn't depend on being a prereq for a certain PrC.

Hey, I don't make the rules! :) There's plenty of examples of sub-optimal feat prerequisites for PrCs. Dwarven Defender springs to mind (Endurance, Dodge, and Toughness).

The feats goodness depends on how often the DM indulges the *other* ability of the feat by making those "Deity specific" magic items available that require the True Believer feat or being a high level divine caster.
