Sookie tries to figure out how to fit both Bill and Eric into her life. Lafayette needs Jesus' help to rid him of the spirit that has taken over. Alcide is called upon by Marcus to help render assistance. Opposing ideas bring Bill into direct conflict with Nan. Marnie secretly plans out the strategy for her next step against the vampires in spite of Tara and Holly's apprehension about the outcome.

I'm not enjoying this season as much as last. I believe it's because there are too many story-lines; a fair amount I could care less about ("haunted" baby and Jessica / Hoyt top that list).

Well, I think the possessed baby line is done, since Lafayette helped grant his possessing spirit some release. And I believe the Jessica/Hoyt thing will come full circle with him becoming extremely anti-vampire.

Have you noticed that at the end of each of the last three episodes, Marnie is kicking massive butt against the vamps? That reformation-era spirit is really that powerful? Was this storyline in the original books? I know the writers have really gone of the tracks with regards to the books, but I don't know what parts they are keeping since I never read them.

I quite enjoyed the Lafeyette-haunted-baby storyline.
