True20 Backgrounds confusion

I find myself with a pile of True20 books, and I'm wondering if I read the rules on Backgrounds wrong: in the section on making my own, they say two feats, two skills, and some favoured feats. HOWEVER, the background examples provided have way more feats and skills for the races and other backgrounds.

Does is mean my character gets all the Bonus Feats listed, or I choose two feats from the list provided as a bonus?

I find myself with a pile of True20 books, and I'm wondering if I read the rules on Backgrounds wrong: in the section on making my own, they say two feats, two skills, and some favoured feats. HOWEVER, the background examples provided have way more feats and skills for the races and other backgrounds.

This is why:

When creating backgrounds (while not using the background modification table) the background receives:

2 Bonus Feats (Pre-Selected) OR 1 Bonus Feat (Player's Choice)
2 Bonus Skills (Pre-Selected) OR 1 Bonus Skill (Player's Choice) OR 1 Bonus Feat (Pre-Selected)
2 Favored Feats OR 1 Favored Power

Does is mean my character gets all the Bonus Feats listed, or I choose two feats from the list provided as a bonus?

You automatically receive ALL Bonus feats or skills that are listed

but there are 3 feats on all the pre-made Backgrounds! Across from the entry where it says 2 narrator-chosen feats, it shows a bunch of 3 bonus feat Backgrounds!

Also: the favoured feats or power: those use up a feat as I level up, correct? They're not a bonus feat/power at start, I have to buy them later (either with my class feats at level 1 or at levels 2+).

It's because if a background doesn't get ANY bonus skills then it gets +1 bonus feat.

Correct.

OOooooooohhh!

!!!

You're my hero! I've been agonizing over that for a while now!

Okay, cool. Back to the grindstone then.

Don't mention it. Just be warned... if you pull out the "Background Modification table" out from the Revised Edition / Companion, all I could do is scratch my head since that table tends to confuse me.
