True20 - Modern Weapons Combat

So it's nice to see that True20 has introduced some rather solid rules for translating back and forth to d20 games.

They also offer something of a starting point for Modern games.

If a "pistol" is 2d6 in d20 Modern (average 9mm, say) and 1d6 damage converts to +2, then their +4 damage modifier is spot-on.

This makes re-introducing a few things like weapon feats back into the game rather easy. I need to playtest it to see, though, but I'm wondering if anybody else has done something Modern with this yet. Some of Modern's feats can be whipped up quickly.

Double-Tap: Take a -2 on your attack roll, add +1/2 do your Damage Modifier for that attack. It works the same as in d20 Modern, since their weapon damage modifiers seem to be based off of the d20Modern ones.

Same would go for, say, Burst Fire ... which would double the modifier.

But with a non-scaling save (as opposed to the constantly-growing HP of d20) this could probably get very very lethal very very quickly.

Just wondering if anybody else has had any experience.
