True20 question

Well, when posting my original question, I hadn't thought of the Conviction aspect of the game. My first test game still ahead, I think that I'm going to stick with the standard lethality, but that important NPCs are going to use Conviction heavily in order to stay alive. Probably the player characters will take the clue ...

I had the same issue when I first ran a play test and didnt use conviction... oh wow does it change how the game plays when you do use it.

Seriously, your PCs will survive a lot more if they use conviction properly... I constently remind them during the game to get them into the habit.

I do the same when I run D&D with action pts... players who arent use to it forget. Remind them!

also, use the mook/minion rules so they get to slaughter stuff. You really get a more epic feel when one blow kills happen then they run into the "tough guys" who dont go down so easy (get a health chart). I sprinkle these sub bosses into the encounters to make them go oh crap... it works really well.
