The Mountain Witch heavily uses "Trust Points" in a similar manner, with a very important twist: You can use the Trust Points someone has invested in you to screw them over, big time. So the more trust you put in someone, the more power they have over you, if they want to leverage it. In other words, you only want to Trust someone if you actually trust them.
 

Night's Black Agents uses trust points in the same way, D&D being a game about heroic fantasy Trev decided not to bring that up in this article. But it would be an easy add to say you could betray a person who trusts you by burning their dice.
