Tryin' out the new stat block

When I do statblocks I draw a draw a combat circle, a role play circle, a skill circle, a feat circle, and an equipment cricle. Then I write the stuff in those.

I, however, am weird. :uhoh:

;) He's got some circles if ya know what I mean.

I love it. The only minor issue I've found in gameplay is the split-location between combat gear & possessions. When the PCs starting looting corpses, you gotta look at 2 spots to compile all the stuff available, and figure out where each piece of gear is held/stored on the body. It's not a major flaw, just a bit akward. I'll get used to it.

That's true. I guess that they had to make a choice between repeating some objects in two places, with some possible confusion, or not repeating them and therefore the need for the DM to look in two places. But perhaps the current way is slightly better: the DM can "mark off" the potions used during the battle, and if the NPC isn't killed too soon that first list is empty at the end.

I changed my statblock form to the new format, with a few differences. I have Speed in the first part of the block, since we don't use grids so it's not such a combat-important information. I put Reach above Melee Attack so I don't miss a long reach. I also note abilities only by modifier, and I only list important skills and feats, not all of them (Dungeon needs to list all, I don't :)). Finally, I put a space next to hit points where I note DR, and a space next to saves where I note SR.

I haven't seen them in play, but they look a lot cleaner now.
These are some good ideas, Berandor. I always forget to apply DR; putting it right next to hit points should make it easier to remember. Thanks for sharing! :)
