anyone ever get thouse pound of duice? how are they? I've always considered getting them or the big pitcher full that is offered at the cons.

The big pitcher is not that great. Yes, it's a lot of dice. But you end up with a lot of ugly dice and it seems you can never find the one size die you need right at the moment. I also got a lot of six-siders when I bought a pitcher o' dice a few years back. And most of the other ones were really ugly.

yeah, love them, got mostly chessex myself with some koplow, gf got me the gold leafset (damn 10s placer is missing thought), and for x mas I got a Caste Silver set, however, I needed to cut at the silver at points and paint the numbers in so they would look perfect. The silver dice are so small though, not really much good other than a good luck charm to wear around the neck.

I've bought several pounds of Chessex dice. I always hoped to get a better mix of some of their more "fancy" dice, but it is always the more plain stuff. I did see that Crystal Caste sells dice by the pound in their skull bag accessory. Always wanted to try that.

Chessex dice reign supreme in my gaming group, with the Borealis line being extremely popular. Out of six players, only one uses a "mix" of random dice. Most of the others carefully segregate their dice into the sets they came in.

Personally, I just got some of the Velvet line of Chessex sets. I really like black with red numbering. I've gotten many compliments on how wicked they look. All DMs should have some wicked-looking dice.

With dice I've mainly got Chessex, but my brother has some Gamescience ones from the 1970's that are still going strong.

i get on avg about 1 lb per month.

they are hit and miss. but overall you do get some gems in there too.

the pitchers at cons are the real worth your money scoop.

i bought about 30 lbs at GEN CON 2 years ago with 3 scoops.

they are okay. but i prefer the CHessex pound more.

though, the skull bag is cool.

the best thing from Crystal Caste are the unusual materials. the dinosaur dice ROCK.
