Hi all,
My party had the extreme misfortune of encountering a creature that I believe is called a Trope. It is a huge serpentine thing with multiple legs and eyes and it has a number of crazy attacks that involve opening portals to other planes.
What I witnessed:
- a no save, no to hit roll attack that inficted a negative level due to opening neg plane portals around the target
- an 30' radius attack that required a ref save to avoid being pulled into the plane of Vacuum (!!) which would of course result in death for the majority of victims.
The DM said that he didn't necessarily do the "worst stuff" (!!!!)
Does anyone know of this cereature and what book it is in? We survived (barely) but I would like to see this thing with my own eyes...it seemed far too dangerous for it's CR (I was told 11).
Oh and it was a 3.0 creature. Also, this was an LG game, so I'm not trying to "get one over" on my DM.
