Trying to use Search command on message forums

I would like to search a series of topics on the message forums but it appears there is no workable search engine on this board, or I am locked out of the option that says "search." Any suggestions?

I dont want to scroll through 50,000 posts to find what I need. :\

At the top of the boards on every screen it does ssay that onlky Community Supporters can Search.

Post what you are looking for and someone will probably do the search for you.

or, nine times out of ten you can use the "sort threads" function at the bottom of the screen to find what you're looking for.

People have complained that every other message board allows everybody to search. The problem, from what I understand, is limited bandwidth, a slow server, and a habit of never, ever pruning away old threads. A search that searches the entire forums from the beginning of time is sorting through hundreds of thousands of posts.

Most of them, incidentally, Crothian's.
