Tsochar invasion- campaign wrapping up!

I'm about to wrap up the campaign in the next month or so, and all told it's gone really well. The heroes have gone from starting the campaign marooned on a werewolf infested island after an airship disaster, to (hopefully) averting an invasion from Xoriat.

The party began, way back, seeing a lot of activity by the Cults of The Dragon below in Sharn. Strange things in dark tunnels, bizarre rites in abandoned ruins, disappearances. The plot essentially revolves around an invasion from Xoriat, led primarily by Tsochar infiltrators.

Eventually cultists kidnapped the King's daughter, and the PCs managed to rescue her. Little did they know that she had been implanted with a Tsochar host ;) ! Not too long after his daughter's return, King Boranel begins to act strangely, becoming reclusive and harsh- mostly due to being replaced with a Tsochar, along with most of the crown's high-level member's and ranking Dark Lantern's officers. The "King" stages an assassination of his daughter and fabricates evidence implicating Aundair, giving him a pretext for war. Why a war with Aundair? What better time for the hideous denizens of Xoriat to return than in the middle of international violence and chaos!

An ancient Daelkyr lord is awakened and released from his gatekeeper prison, and the time draws near when the released Daelkyr lord will attempt to open one of the gatekeeper's ancient seals, once again bringing Xoriat coterminous with the prime material plane and setting loose a waiting invasion force upon the world. The PCs have allied with the dragons of The Chamber who have observed unnatural disturbances in the Prophecy, and have managed to expose and capture several Tscohar infiltrating the Brelish parliament, gaining the parliament's favor. The party is relentlessly stalked by an incredibly powerful construct made of pure shadow, crafted by House Cannith and set loose upon them by King Boranel. Will they be able to enlist the aid of the other Five Nations and stop this menace before the Lovecraftian crap hits the fan?

Ohhhh, I can't wait to find out :].

I love tsochar. Also, great twist on the classic "rescue victim = evil" trope.

Nitpick: the host is the one that gets something implanted. The parasite is a "guest".

Sounds like a rather cool campaign. What levels are you guys playing at?

Thanks, we started at level 3 and we're at 14 right now. Probably finish out at 15, most likely.

They've just been joined by some Half-Dragon allies with a massive airship designed for planar travel. One possible ending for the campaign involves the party stopping the invasion and closing the gateway to Xoriat, but getting stuck on the wrong side of gate. Xoriat moves away from being coterminous with Eberron and the party winds up escaping to the Outlands, opening the way for a Planescape campaign using the standard cosmology.
