D&D General Turgenev's Friday Freebie Maps

Here's the December 26th 2025 Friday Freebie map. This is the first of two dungeon levels. The Fortress at Falchion Rock is a prehistoric site whose builders have been lost to the sands of time. Falchion Rock is the central towering natural feature whose interior has been excavated into a fort. The whole fortress is said to be haunted by the restless souls that originally built/carved this place. Click to enlarge.

Map Details:
  • Grid Size: 36x46 10' Squares or 72x96 5' Squares (72 dpi); VTT Size: 1261x1611
  • This is the first of two dungeon levels.

  • The arrows are downward slope arrows showing the direction of the tunnel. Two sloping tunnels lead down to Dungeon Level 2 (next week's map).
  • The two pairs of dash lines represent elevation lines (showing the path of the tunnel under this level).
  • Area 1 has stairs leading up to the ground level (see the Dec 12th 2025 Friday Freebie map).
  • Area 5 has a trap door in the ceiling that connects to the secret trap door in the floor of the Ground Level (see the Dec 12th 2025 Friday Freebie map).
  • Areas 7 a) and 9 have statues.
  • Area 21 is the well shaft (entrance on the ground level and it ends on the 2nd dungeon level).

Interestingly, the black background map has a 21 that is floating between 19a and 22; whereas the other two versions don't. Oh actually, on further inspection, the version with the "marble" background also has it, but the white text is VERY faint and almost invisible. I wonder if in the white background version, the text stayed white so as to disappear.

All of which leads to my actual question - what is #21? Is it a shaft connecting the previous upper level with Dungeon Level 2?

#21 is the well shaft (entrance on the ground level and it ends on the 2nd dungeon level). I included it for completeness, even though it doesn't interact with this level. I'll fix the number issue & missing well on the maps.

Cheers,
Tim

Just a quick note to mention that I fixed a few errors that were on the white map versions of Friday's map. I've updated all the images now (both the free versions and the enhanced versions). You may need to hit Control-F5 to clear your cache to see the updated images on your browser.

Here's the Monday Blues Map #198 map. This week's map is a stand alone dungeon map. Click to enlarge.

Map Details:
  • Grid Size: 42x62 10’ Squares or 84x124 5’ Squares (72 dpi); VTT Size: 1261x1611
  • This is a stand alone dungeon map. I've been making dungeons that have a collapsed corridor or two running off the page so I figured I would make a map that is assessable via the collapsed tunnels. There is a path through the rubble at area 1 a).
  • Areas 1 a), 2, 3, 11, 14, 27, and 28 have loose rubble.
  • Areas 1 b) and 22 have false doors.
  • Areas 1 c), 1 d), 10, and 15 a) have fireball traps.
  • Areas 2, 3, and 4 are filled with spider webs.
  • The doors at areas 3 and 4 have fallen off their hinges.
  • Area 9 has a pool/fountain.
  • Area 14 has a crevasse surrounded by rubble.
  • Areas 15 b), 26, and 25 b) have covered pits.
  • Area 16 has a magical circle.
  • Area 18 has columns/pillars.
  • Areas 18 b) and 30 have open pits.
  • Areas 19 and 34 have tapestries.
  • The row of dots at areas 22 and 27 represent bars/gates.
  • Areas 25 b) and 29 have daises.
  • Area 35 has statues.
