Turmoil in the Golden Ring (OOC thread)

This is the OOC thread for player-player or player-DM discussion.

The campaign begins in the city of Vladimir (about 120 miles/200 km east of modern Moscow), in an inn ('tracktir') known as The White Stallion. Players should create a reason for being there.

I assume there is no unoccupied table, as you didn't describe any and said the inn was popular, but that there is at least one table with ample room left.

Also, is there a common greeting, something like the "Well met" of FR? The "hello friends" bit is supposed to convey that...

There is at lease one partially empty table, sorry, I'll make that clear.

I'm not sure there is any particular phrase to suggest. There are of course, Russian words like Zdrastv'uite (Hello).

A useful term of respect to a man (usually older) is 'Gospodin' (Plural 'Gospoda'). (Hello Gospodin Ivanov'). The female equivelent (in medievel times) is 'Baba'
