I'm playing a cleric in a homebrew campaign who has a distinct dislike for undead (especially after the BBEG animated his dead daughter). Using only 3.5 material, how nasty a turning machine can you make?
The only requirements should be a level 16 character.
Some random thoughts so far:
- Improved Turning feat (+1 turn level)
- Cha 18 + 6 (cloak of Charisma) + 5 (tome) + 4 levels = 33 Cha
- phylacrety of undead turning (+4 turn level)
- bracelet of persuasion (similar to the circulet)
- +1 sacred shield (BoED) (+2 turn level)
- +1 sacred full plate (BoED) (+2 turn level)
- 5 ranks of Knowledge(religion)
- one level of Hierophant with Master of Energy ability
So a cleric 15/hierophant 1:
Turn level: 15 (cleric) + 1 (imp turning) + 4 (phylacrety) + 4 (sacred armor) = 24
Turn check: 1d20 + 11 (Cha) + 3 (bracelet) + 4 (MoE) + 2 (synergy)= 1d20 + 19
Turn damage: 2d6 + 11 (Cha) + 3 (bracelet) + 4 (MoE) + 24 = 2d6 + 41
Any thoughts? Does a circulet of persuasion affect turning checks even? Are there spells that enhance this?
