I did that!" says the lady that shouted at Finnian, "That was all me!""Hurray!" yells Roger the Mage and Olivia."What?" says Olivia, "We hated that guy."Roger, the Mage, smashes the red and white jug against the ground. "Earl! I choose you!"In a puff of pixie dust and a fanfare of trumpets, a crocodile appears. The beast wears lederhosen and has a little, feathered cap tied to its head.Olivia shakes her head in disgust. "You're a real freak, Roger.""No! Earl looks much more menacing that way!""Earl! Earl!" hisses the crocodile."Get the minotaur!" orders the mage, opening the door behind him."Earl!" the crocodile grunts.As Roger begins to step into the back room, Vaunea strikes with her axe. (Immediate Interrupt: Basic Attack - 19 v. AC, 12 damage.)"Agh!" Roger shrieks again in a girlish voice, "Potion! I need a potion!""Earl!" croaks the crocodile, shifting to protect the door. The beast lunges for Vaunea. (Bite: 22 v. AC, 9 damage.)It's jaws lock tight on Vaunea. (Vaunea is grabbed (immobilized) until she escapes or the crocodile releases its hold.)Olivia, a twinkle in her eyes, teeth gleaming, smiles at Vaunea and says in the sweetest tone, "Vaunea, could you be a dear and chop Drivan with that lovely axe of yours?" (Deceptive Maneuver: 23 v. Will, Success!)Vaunea grins that big, beautiful, toothy Vaunea grin and replies, "Okay!" Then, ignoring the crocodile, she swings her greataxe at the wizard. (16 v. AC, 12 damage!)In a fountain of blood, Drivan goes down! (I need a save v. death!)While the minotaur strikes, Olivia hops over Earl, through the doorway, and slams it shut, pausing only to lean out and say in the cheeriest tone, "Ta!""Nooooooo!" shouts the mob in dismay, "SAVE Drivan!"Another huge cobblestone sails through the window, striking the crocodile. (26 v. AC, 10 damage)"Earl!" groans the crocodile around Vaunea's legs."Don't worry, Drivan," says Uncle Mikey, hauling his portly frame onto his feet, "I've got you, dude!"The halfling pulls another potion out of his waistcoat and prances around the roast goliath, halfling gore, and gold coins to join the wizard.
