Tutorial for CC2

msd

First Post
Anyone know of a good site that offers a good CC2 tutorial / walkthroughs / how-tos, etc?

I have gone through the tutorial that came with the software but am now looking for something more.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Matt

In my experience, the tutorials that came with CC2 were quite adequate to get me on my way and mapping happily. There's a certain amount of trial-and-error with any new program, and CC2 is no exception.

If you've already done the tutorials, the best thing to do next is start messing around and making your own maps.

When I learned CC2, I found their yahoo user group to be an outstanding resource for help. Either by searcing the archives for past related questions to my own or by asking the group directly. I would suggest joining it, there used to be a few employees of ProFantasy who frequent the group and really go along way to helping users.

I've had a copy that a friend gave me a long time ago (disc only, manual lost) that I was thinking about installing and playing around with. Anyone have any pointers beyond what's already been said?

The manuals (updated) can be found on the Profantasy web site in PDF (registered users). Some of the links or master mappers may have stuff but the mail list always provides a lot of information.

I'm not sure how I can register, as I inherited a friend's copy who already registered in the past -- quite a while ago. He quit using the software, preferring to simply use Photoshop now, but I can't do much with it either as it stands.

I also don't have CC2 Pro, just regular CC2, which is outdated and apparently much more obtuse to use.

For your information, to have a licensed copy, your friend must report to us that he or she has transferred the license to you. This measure prevents people from upgrading and then selling their old copy (which is against the EULA)

When you've done this, your friend can delete the serial number from our registered users' area and you can register, giving you access to the full downloadable PDF for our products.
